In every season here in Maldives referees are victims of everyone, players, coaches and supporters. Sometimes even the media. I have seen even commentators are kicking the fence because of referee decision. We have to think about it. This is not only the season these things are happening here. So, someone has to step in to correct this. Nobody will want referee to be a victim of a gang. In my opinion there is something referees can correct.
- Arrival time
All match officials can arrive the stadium at least 1 hour prior to match.
- Pre-match talking
We have to bring a habit of pre-match discussion to our small family. This is very important for a good team work.
- Warming up
Good warming up before the match would be really fantastic to complete a good match. It will help to concentrate from 1st second of the game. so we can leave the changing room and go out to pitch for a good warm up. This will help a lot.
- Using two watches
In my opinion we can use two stop watches for a good time keeping.
- Making decision
Don’t hesitate to take decision. If it is red card show it. If we have to send a coach or team official from bench, send him from there. It will make our game easier.
